Frequently Asked Questions

We get these carpet cleaning and operation questions a lot. Here are our best answers...

How long does the carpet take to dry?

For dry days, in summer we’re seeing carpets drying in 4-5 hours, in winter 6-7 hours so long as ceiling fans are on and windows are open. For wet days drying time is longer and you need to keep the fans on.

Do I need to vacuum the carpets before you carpet clean?

Yes, our equipment wont pick up large pieces of debris from the carpets. If you cant vacuum prior to our service please let us know so we can factor the time to vacuum and the price in to you job.

Do you remove all stains?

Not all stains are removable. We use the appropriate solvents and our industrial grade equipment to give the best result possible.

Do I need to be home when you perform the service?

No you don’t need to be home, so long as you have arranged entry to the home for us we’ll do our work and phone you for payment when we are complete.

Why do you use a 1300 number?

Your call is routed to one of our mobiles meaning you will always be answered by a live Stain Lifters staff member and wont need to leave a message and wait for a reply.

Do you work weekends or out of hours?

Our standard operating hours are Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.30pm. Saturday bookings can be made by request.
Commercial jobs are scheduled to minimise business disruption Monday to Sunday at any time.

What payments do you accept?

We accept cards, cash or by internet banking on your phone.

Do you remove urine from carpets and upholstery?

Yes. Removing urine is a specialised service we provide.

What are your hours?

Normal business hours. Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.30pm. Please call for out of hours jobs. Commercial works and special projects are performed during business hours or after hours.

How do you invoice me?

Once we are paid we’ll email the invoice/payment receipt immediately to you. We don’t issue hand written invoices.

Can you remind me of my appointment?

Yes. You will receive a SMS booking reminder 24 hours before your appointment.

What can I do with my pet during a pest treatment?

We ask that pets are removed from the premises whilst the treatment is being applied if possible. In any case your pets will need to be in a separate area to that which is being treated and then remain separated until the treatment dries.
